Product updates for artists

Dear artists,
We are always working on making the Low-Fi platform better for you, and in this article we’ll be sharing some new features and other product updates that have been implemented recently. If you have any questions or comments, please reach out to us on artists@lowficoncerts.com ✌️
Main genre
Up until now, it has been possible to choose up to three genres on your artist profile. You can still keep the three genres, but now you have to set one of them as your main genre. If you have not set the main genre yourself yet, it has automatically chosen the first of the three genres, you have chosen, as your main genre. You can always go in and edit this yourself from your profile.
We are making this change to get better data on the artists that are using Low-Fi, which will enable us to make better matches with hosts, as well as guide ticket buyers better; The main genre will be featured on the concert, which will make browsing easier for guests.
Career state
When you create an artist profile on Low-Fi you now have to select the state of your career. There are three options: professional, established, and up and coming.
Professional: You play music at a professional level, and it’s your main source of income
Established: You play music at a professional level, but it’s not your main source of income
Up and coming: You are still working towards establishing a professional music career
If you have not chosen a career state yourself, it has automatically been set to established. You can always go in and edit this yourself from your profile.
We are making this change to get better data on the artists that are using Low-Fi, so we can tailor tools, communication, matching, etc. to where different artists are in their career. Artists at all career stages are welcome on Low-Fi – we just want to get better at addressing different needs in different groups of artists 🙂
Pictures
It is now possible to upload up to five pictures to your artist profile, and when you or a host create a concert on the platform, you will be able to choose the concert photo between the different photos uploaded on your artist profile.
Bandcamp
It is now possible to link to your Bandcamp profile from your Low-Fi profile, in addition to the existing platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Soundcloud, Spotify, and YouTube).
