Low-Fi Backstage with Clara Birch

Music has always been a part of Clara’s life. She has been singing since she was just three years old. Growing up, her father played the guitar and they would often sing together. Her mother even made her play the violin for a short time, though she didn’t really enjoy it. However, when she was signed up to join a choir, she found a love for singing and eventually became a choir leader herself. She credits her parents for introducing her to music and guiding her to where she is today.

Clara finds inspiration in a variety of musicians, including Tina Dickow, who she admires for her authentic and sustainable career, as well as Bon Iver and Joni Mitchell. Over the course of her career, she has experimented with different genres and has settled on a melancholic pop, singer-songwriter style.

Her music covers a range of emotions and personal experiences, including feelings of loneliness, heartbreak, insecurity, and following one’s dreams. She has already written several songs and is working towards releasing her first single, with aspirations for an album in the future.

Clara discovered the Low-Fi community through a fellow musician, and was drawn to the unique atmosphere of playing in people’s homes. She appreciates the warm, intimate environment and the opportunity to connect with both audience and fellow musicians. Being a part of the community is something Clara values and enjoys.
